Meet with an Advisor
Advising
Advising at Highline College is a teaching and learning process in which students, through a relationship with an advisor, are empowered to identify their life goals, understand the college, its curriculum, degree options, and resources and services, and use that knowledge to develop and refine short and long-term course-taking plans to reach their goals.
Professional advisors in the Advising Center and High School Programs Office are available to assist new students with their transition to college. Students who have selected a professional/technical certificate or degree program, or area of interest for university transfer are highly encouraged to meet with an advisor in their pathway or program of choice.

Meeting with an Advisor
Advisors in the Advising Center are available for same day and future appointments. Drop-ins are welcome on a space-available basis and limited to 30 minute sessions (20 minutes during peak advising and registration.) In order to best assist you, we ask that prospective students go through the enrollment process of admissions, MyHC account activation, and assessment prior to your advising session. If you are transferring in credits from another college, please bring unofficial transcripts with you. Check our hours of operation.
