Drop-In Advising

What is Drop-in Advising?

Drop-in advising sessions allow students to engage with advisors for quick academic questions in 15-20 minute sessions.
Examples of questions for these sessions include:

  • Course selection guidance (advisors do not register students)
  • ctcLink questions
  • Registration questions
  • Transfer options and resources
  • Student resource questions
  • Referrals to additional campus resources

Please remember, drop-in advising is not a substitute for scheduled appointments. For in-depth discussions, such as creating a full-education plan or addressing personal academic concerns, we will assist you as much as possible during the session. However, we may ask you to schedule a follow-up appointment or direct you to additional resources for further assistance.

If there are no available slots, that means our team of academic advisors is fully booked. Please check back later to see if there have been any updates to appointment availability.

How to check in for Drop-In Advising

NOTE: During drop-in times, one-on-one assistance from an advisor is not guaranteed. Students may be asked to work in groups and share an advisor. To help ensure enough time for advising support, students are encouraged to arrive before the final 15 minutes of a drop-in advising block. Students who arrive near the end of the block may not be seen that day, particularly when demand is high or staffing is limited.
