New Student Orientation

If you have never attended college, orientation is an IMPORTANT and required step prior to registering for your first quarter. If you have attended college previously, we highly recommend you complete orientation to learn about Highline programs and resources. However, if you are entering Highline through a special program such as International Student Programs, or a selective AAS or BAS program, your program may offer a specialized orientation in place of the general orientation.

To sign-up for the general orientation use the Google form link below to select your campus orientation date/time. Then, you will receive a message in your Highline email account inviting you to access the online modules for orientation in Canvas (canvas.highline.edu.) It may take 2 business days before you receive the invite. View all of the materials and take the quiz at the end before you come to campus for your campus orientation session.

Sign-up in advance to reserve your space, as capacity is limited. You may bring parents and family members for support, but you must have applied to Highline, and activated your MyHighline account prior to orientation.

Winter New Student Orientation dates and times:

New student registration and orientation sessions for Winter Quarter begin November 16th. Dates, times and locations are listed in the sign-up form below. Optional campus tours will begin at the Student Union one hour before orientation.

To prepare for orientation, check that you have completed the steps to get started.
