New Student Orientation

If you are new to Highline, completing an orientation session is an important step to begin your academic
experience. If you have no prior college experience, orientation is a required step. Former students, and
those with college credits are welcome and encouraged, but not required to attend.

Orientation includes an online module that covers the basics of registration. This module should be
completed before your visit to campus for advising and assistance with registration.

After applying and activating your MyHighline account, your next step is to sign-up for your orientation
session. Use the Google form below to select your orientation date. Within 2 business days, you will be able to login to Canvas and access the online portion of the orientation.

Sign-up here: Sessions for summer/fall quarter registration are coming soon! Check back on our website for registration link.

Questions? Contact the Advising Center at advising@highline.edu or (206) 592-3584.

To prepare for orientation:

Assessment and Placement: Many courses require a Math or English placement before registration.
Completing assessment in the Placement and Testing Center prior to your orientation session will give you the
most options for your class registration.

Pay for College: Payment for tuition and fees will be due after registration. Have a plan in place to meet
your financial obligations before registering.

Disability accomodations: Highline College provides reasonable accommodations for qualified students, employees
and applicants with disabilities in accordance with The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Federal
Rehabilitation Act. If you are interested in learning more about Access Services and attending Highline College,
please contact our office.
