New Student Orientation

Sign up for New Student Orientation is now available for students planning to start Summer of Fall 2017.

Ready to start?

Welcome to the Thunderbird family! As a new T-bird, your orientation is one of your first steps to a successful start to your college experience. You will learn about key campus resources, academic programs and services that prepare you for your responsibilities as a college student. This orientation session is required for all newly admitted Highline students with no prior college experience, and highly recommended for students entering with previous college experience. Before you sign-up, be sure you have been admitted to Highline and have activated your MyHighline account.

Orientation includes two parts:
PART 1: Online module introduction to Highline
Learn how to explore certificate and degree options, and use Online Student Services to prepare to register for classes.

PART 2: Advising and Campus Connections
Academic advisors will guide you through the steps to enroll in the best classes for you. We will help you identify your academic goals, any assessments needed, ways to pay, and connect you with a support community. Options to take a campus tour, or get assistance registering for classes (beginning May 26th) will also be available.

Are you enrolling in a special program?

The New Student Orientation is a general introduction to Highline College for new certificate or degree seeking students. If you are in a transitional education, or selective admission program, i.e. Running Start, ACHIEVE, GED/High School Completion, Applied Baccalaureate, International Student Programs, Athletics, you may have additional steps to complete, or alternatives for your orientation. Contact your program to ensure you have met your orientation and enrollment requirements.
